JEDDAH – Health authorities on Sunday seized prescription drugs and cosmetics from a car parked at a medical center in North Jeddah. The seized material was meant for sale in violation of rules and regulations, Abdurrahman Al-Sahafi, head of Public Relations at Jeddah Health Affairs Management, said.
“We have seized the car and all the drugs in it and the seized drugs and cosmetics will be destroyed,” he said.
Investigations, meanwhile, are continuing, he said.
“The storage of medicines and pharmaceuticals in this way represents a severe risk to the health of those who use these products as the temperature and location makes these drugs inappropriate for use,” added Al-Sahafi. – SG
